Portrait Photography
The camera has no opinion, no emotion, it just renders —
and so the emotional components of a photograph live
on each side of the camera.
-Norman Jean Roy
We live in an era where the latest smartphones have more megapixels than the first digital DSLR I purchased in 2005. An era where it is possible to snap a few pictures of your baby's first steps with your phone and share it with your family and friends on social media within seconds. I love it and take advantage of this myself.
In that case, you may be asking yourself why would I want to work with a professional portrait photographer? Keepsakes, that's why. When you walk into my studio, you will see framed portraits of my mother and father who passed away in 2018. In black and white, taken by a professional photographer when they were 18, in 1955.
Keepsakes.
